Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 4 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Raleigh Implant and Family Dentistry at (919) 782-0548; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is raleighimplantandfamilydentistry.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 308 reviews, which is a strong result for a dentist in Raleigh and suggests consistent service.

Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Raleigh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Dr. Emily Rodriguez is the absolute best dentist I’ve ever had. She’s so patient and I’ve had a fear of dentists for as long as I remember. At our first visit she helped me breathe and relax and made a plan for me as I haven’t been to a dentist in years. Her and her whole team were so incredible and helpful and made me feel like I was safe. A client for life!!!!

Always a friendly welcome, great hygienists as I have worked with multiple over the years and Drs. Melcher and Rodriguez are both excellent clinically and provide a warm environment.

I have been seeing Dr. Melcher since his Cary days, at probably over 2 and a half decades at this point. Him and his staff have always been top notch and that exceeded during my visit with Elizabeth yesterday. I had my 9 and a half month old with me and Elizabeth stayed engaged with her the entire time as she did my cleaning. Now that I’m a mom, I’m thankful for the validation and acceptance of the need to bring my child along with me. Thank you to everyone at RID for such a wonderful experience each time I come in!

I've been a patient here for over a decade and everyone here is exceptional. If Dr. Melcher and Dr. Rodriguez retire I will humbly ask that they remove all my teeth first because I never want to go to another dentist again - they have set the bar too high πŸ˜‚ They have great attention to detail and my teeth have never been healthier. I sing their praises to anyone that's having a hard time finding a good dentist. They and all their support staff truly are the best.

I had an excellent experience from start to finish. The front desk staff was courteous and friendly and made me feel welcome right away. Dr. Rodriguez took her time to explain everything step by step and thoroughly went over all my options, which I really appreciated. Nora was incredibly sweet, kind, and calming β€” she made the whole visit so much easier. Truly a wonderful dental office. Looking forward to my next visit! Highly recommend!
